March Service for The Spirits of Wellness:Thurs. March 15th: at the Sacred Space Conference 9:30-11PM in The Garden Room. The Universal Temple of Spirits presents a trance possession service for the Spirits of Wellness, through drumming, dance, song, and art. This is an open circle; you may join late or leave early (although you’ll probably miss some good stuff if you do). This is a Pantheistic working, so we will honor Spirits from around the globe and sing in their native languages when possible. Please note that this is not an open drum circle; it is a possession-based working. The more active your participation, the more exciting the service. Please bring: A Spirit of Wellness you wish to honor, and a song if you have one for them Donations for supplies are appreciated. For those not attending the conference, there will be a fee of $30 for the service for the evening, to be collected prior to the service. Please consider a donation to UToS as well. http://www.sacredspacefoundation.org/

September Service for the Spirits of the Ocean: Sat Sept 8th, 1 PM set up Assateague Island National Seashore (U.S. National Park Service)

Please RSVP. Carpooling is encouraged. We want to start the ritual early because it starts getting colder at night. And it is dark on that beach too.Assateague Island National Seashore. (This is very important. Do not go to the state park and expect to find us.) This ritual calls for more planning before the day. We've had only sketchy cell reception out there as well, so please don't try to get a hold of us to coordinate that day for directions, etc. Know where you are going. RSVP via email or FB if you run into trouble that day, but try not to do so in the 1st place.Set up is at 1. It takes a long time to set up, as we must carry everything down the boardwalk. Please be there at 1 to help. Ritual at 2. We must be out of there completely by 1 AM on the 10th. If we wait that long for clean up, we will be cold. So we're not aiming for an evening ritual.

Tell the gate guard you are with the Universal Temple of Spirits and there is no charge for coming in on the 10th, as this is 1st amendment right use. We should be on the permit list.I expect we will be in the same location as last time. I'll give more details when they send the permit back and give us the location on the beach. I expect we will park at the parking lot at the North Ocean Beach and take the farthest left boardwalk, across from the toilets, when you are facing the ocean. At the other side of the parking lot is the National Seashore Campground Office https://www.nps.gov/asis/planyourvisit/maps.htm'''

Please Bring:-Your Spirit of the Ocean (give this to me ahead of time)-a design for them (veves in the sand!)-a song for them (It's all live singing. We've got no beach electronics.)-Drums-biodegradable offerings to put into the ocean for the Spirits-beach towels-Sunscreen-Bug repellent (The beach is ok. Area around parking lot not so much.)-beach blanket/chair...-bathing suit-flashlight, lantern...Once it gets dark it is DARK out there.-Water-Food (easy to eat with fingers the better) We should coordinate food a bit, since once we're there, tough luck on getting anything to eat except what's washed up on the beach.-Warm Clothing if we are still out there when it is dark.-Wood. We need to pick up wood on site for a fire. Any volunteers? We should get 2-3 bundles, plus kindling.
